Sorry it has been a while since i have blogged. There is loads happening at the moment and it is all very exciting. The first thing is my new website! So excited about this and can't wait for it to be up and running (probably in a month or so). Preview of it above. It's a new fresher look and will hold much more examples of my work and will include an exciting blog full of inspiration, documentation of work and more of an insight into Emily Hogarth's studio. Well it has finally been launched in the UK and you can

I have been really busy working on some exciting projects recently!
Including writing a step-by-step paper cutting book - more on that
later. One of the projects was working with Nivea and I can finally
share with you a sneek peek of the new pearl and beauty packaging.
Currently it is only on the Dutch website and should be in the shops

Its been a very busy year so far and i have lost to

something i was working on last year was a new
contemporary book about papercuting artists.
And its now almost there and will be out in April
But i thought I'd give you a sneak peek!

well after an amazing wedding and fantastic honeymoon,
I'm back and looking forward to the next stage in my life.
As promised i would like to share with you some of the
things i made for our wedding. Back in Oct i hand printed
this fabric, seen here and then my lovely friend Sara Hill
made these beautiful dresses. i painted the little figures as
little presents for my bridesmaids, which i can not thank
enough for all there help! Thank you.

Just wanted to let you see what i have been up
to recently. This week i have been printing lots of fabric
for my bridesmaid's dresses. A lot of effort, but
with the help of miss Fiona Moon we managed. The
fabric had to be hand dyed first then printed. But i
think after looking at the photos it was worth it!

Another wedding present i recently did.
lots of things within this cut out including;
a school (where they met), a stethoscope (the bride is a Doctor).
They are passionate about Scotland and love living in Glasgow.
Also is their wedding date, names and an English rose and a
welsh daffodil for there families. Hope you like.

just days away.And as part of the festival, Flavours in
Stockbridge are putting on a lovely exhibition about aprons,
with new t-towel designs by myself celebrating our lovely

Before Christmas i printed some tea towels to sell as

Christmas presents. I'm pleased to say they went down

really well so i think I'll produce some more. With some

Happy New Year!! Hope its taking off to a good start

for everyone. Although it was the festive season i have

been busy working on some new Scottish based designs

for the new year. Here's the first one based on the Edinburgh

sky line, and creatures typical to Scotland. There's highland

cow's, a stag, a salmon and even a pheasant!

Just thought i would show you my recent cut out in

context, in the lovely owl and lion gallery. Currently

I'm setting up my own studio, once its all up and

This is a very large cut out that i did for the

Black Forest Exhibition its about 2m by 1.5m. Bit

of a challange cutting through this card but i think

the end result was worth it.

A large cut out of magic and mystery. This is in a double glassed

frame so when its on the wall and a light is shined on it you get the

shadow on the wall, adding another element to it all. Will photograph

again out of the frame, but for now this will do!!

This is a paper cut out book i worked on

for my final masters degree show, it has about 50 layers

in it and depicts part of my magical world. Currently I'm

working on recording it so you can see the build up of

layers in more detail but for now a little preview of what

is to come.

Last summer i designed this pattern and sold it to

Roam Studio, a cashmere blanket company. Yesterday

the knitted blanket arrived. It is so nice to see my design

large scale and knitted! 100% cashmere it will keep

me lovely and warm in the Scottish winters!!

have been very busy this last month creating

these fabrics and garments for a fashion show

in Edinburgh. But am glad to say they are all done

and dress rehearsals went well. so lets hope the

show goes well too!! I'll post up the full collection

when i can get better photos of them. But for now,

Been a while since i last put up my post. Have been

busy creating designs for my new fashion collection,

as well as some nice illustartions to keep the creativity

flowing! So here you go. Still very much in the

development stage but i think they are beginning to

come together.

I did this last week for my friend Sam's bday!

Seeing as she's planning on spending a lot of

her time in Oz in the future thought i could remind

her that it is a small world and we're all only a phone

A dress i did the print for as for of my degree show last year.

I hand cut the stencils for the print and then had to bin them

once they'd been used. bit sad for the cut out but at least i was

left with a rather nice dress!
